1. Cleaning: Use the pump-foam Leather Stain Cleaner to clean surface dirt.

2. Base preparation: Because the PVC shows general ageing and flaking, hand-apply a separate coat of High-Strength Colouring Resin over the surface with a sponge to improve wear resistance.

3. Colour mixing: Tint Luxury Super Repair and Recolouring Agent. If too thick, dilute with High-Strength Colouring Resin. Add High-Efficiency Matting Agent to reduce gloss for a natural result. Base and top colours use the same material proportions but different colours.

4. Paint the base: Cover damaged pattern areas with the base colour first.

5. Paint the surface pattern: Use a fine detail brush or toothpick for repeated dabbing. Establish the outline first, then build it with dots. Patience is needed.

6. Colour fixing: Spray Odourless Wear-Resistant Fixative with a well-atomising gun at low air and medium fluid, leaving the surface just moist.

7. Matting (gloss adjustment): Spray Matte Fixative onto overly shiny areas for a second gloss reduction and the best finish.

Process insights

Understand the sequence and decisions

Additional explanations based on this case’s original record.

Prepare an ageing PVC surface, redraw the damaged pattern and adjust gloss.

Prepare the whole surface before restoring the pattern

The source addresses general ageing with hand-applied resin before mixing and drawing. Keep that surface-preparation step.

Base coverage and pattern dots are different tasks

The base hides damage; the top pattern begins with outlines and repeated dabbing. Do not merge them into one broad application.

Check gloss at the end

The source adds further matting after fixing for shiny areas. Matching the pattern does not finish the gloss assessment.

Questions and answers

What should be checked after drawing the pattern?

The source retains a gloss-adjustment step after fixing, particularly for areas that remain too shiny.
