Louis Vuitton red leather-trim hand restoration
1. Cleaning: Mix Multi-Purpose Leather Cleaner and Leather Cleaning Additive at 3:1; dilute with 5~10 times hot water and add 5% Heavy-Duty Degreaser. Wipe or brush away dirt. Where mould is present, also add 5% Anti-Mould Bactericide.
2. Damage repair: 1. Wipe the leather with alcohol before repairs to improve colour adhesion. 2. The surface has only slight wear, raised fibres and colour loss, with no missing leather or major damage. Apply Topcoat Finishing Repair Paste as a thin repair and sealing layer; the thinner the better. Colour can then be applied.
3. Colour mixing: 1. Mix Aniline Extra-Soft Resin, Texture Enhancer and Oil-Wax Enhancing Additive at 5:1:1, tint with colour paste and add 6~10 drops of crosslinker before spraying. 2. The red is vivid with a violet undertone; use Super-Vivid Pink-Rose Colour Paste to increase saturation.
4. Colour coverage: Hand-apply with a high-density sponge in several even passes. Every pass must dry completely before the next, otherwise the coating can crumble and lose colour.
5. Final sealing: Spray Colourless Extra-Soft Fixative to seal the surface.

Understand the sequence and decisions
Additional explanations based on this case’s original record.
For minor red-trim wear, match the violet undertone and saturation while drying each coverage pass fully.
Keep the minor-damage scope
The source specifies no missing leather or major damage. Do not extend this thin finishing repair to severe losses.
Source reference:Damage repairRed has different undertones
This case targets vivid red with a violet undertone and specifies how to increase saturation. Not every red has the same mixing target.
Source reference:Colour mixingDry fully between hand-applied passes
The source requires repeated, even coverage with full drying before the next pass, then final sealing. Keep that waiting condition.

How should another hand-applied coat follow incomplete coverage?
The source calls for several even passes, each completely dry before the next.
