Soiling and cleaning fluid can pass through mesh into underlying layers. Control application and recovery as carefully as the brushing itself.

Check first

  • The number of mesh layers and colours beneath.
  • The stability of heat-bonded patches and glued edges.
  • Whether the soiling is loose particles or embedded in fibres.
  • Whether the toe and side walls collapse easily.

Working sequence

  1. Remove particles with suitable suction and a soft brush.
  2. Clean in sections with small amounts of foam.
  3. Recover dirty liquid repeatedly rather than flooding the shoe.
  4. Support the shape and dry in ventilated shade.

Soaking increases bonding and dye-transfer risks. Forceful brushing can raise or break mesh fibres.
