- Can the insoles be removed safely?
- Does the lining transfer colour or contain prints?
- Is the smell musty, perspiration-related or from adhesive chemicals?
- Has foam powdered or distorted?
Working sequence
- Remove dry dust with suitable suction.
- Test and clean removable components separately.
- Use controlled moisture and recover it thoroughly.
- Dry completely before reassembly and packing.
Disinfectants and fragrances can irritate skin, damage adhesive materials or conceal mould. Extensive mould or associated health concerns need specialist handling.
